For centuries turtles have been leaving the Ocean on moonlight nights to lay their eggs on the beaches of Sri Lanka. Over the years their numbers have been declining and several conservation projects have opened. This excursion takes you to one of these projects where you will be able to see Green, Loggerhead, Hawksbill and Olive Ridley turtles. You will see where they hatch, see the hatchlings and at dusk be able to release some baby turtles into the ocean. After this you will return to Malubanna’s riverside restaurant for a delicious meal by the river.
